MUSIC MINISTRY & BOOKS

Fr. Bill Sings

Fr. Bill Quinlivan loves music, but first and foremost he is a priest. Ordained to serve God’s people, he enjoys writing and singing music and finds himself sharing thoughts/reflections and witnessing what the grace of the Lord God shows him. Yes, Father Bill sings… but he does funerals, weddings, hears confessions, blesses pets, gives talks… He even wrote this intro!

PRIEST, SONGWRITER, AUTHOR

Fr. Bill Quinlivan

Welcome to my website! I am a Catholic priest in Buffalo, New York who happens to write songs, prayers and books. I’ve recorded 10 CDs worth of music, like to produce homemade music videos and I can make my mother’s recipe for chocolate fudge. (Oh—did I tell you I also used to be a professional comedy writer?)  On this site I have entered the art of the blog. And much of the photography here is mine. My website is simply a way to share some of my creative endeavors.

The Lord is my “boss” for almost 25 years.  Whatever gifts/talents I have come from Him, therefore ALL the glory goes to Him. I simply try to let Him use me while I often find that His ways amuse me. Hope you each have a chance to experience that in your life, to see that we’re all Made to Praise Him… and our calling is Finding My/Our Song.

Blessings,

Fr. Bill Quinlivan

Coming Home to Christmas Through Advent

Coming Home to Christmas Through Advent is a series of essays to help people reflect, pray and sing their way through the most joyous seasons, however, for many, difficult days. There are chapters with Advent reflections, a section of original Advent and Christmas prayers and a number of chapters in the Christmas spirit. Fr. Bill is a songwriter as well as a pastor, and music is an important part of his ministry to God’s people. This collection of stories and songs should help people of all faiths, and hopefully even those with little or no particular religion to ponder the meaning and joy of Christmas.
